The Slippery Rock University football team will begin the ranked 10th in Division II after the American Football Coaches Association released their preseason poll this week. SRU is coming off a 11-3 season and a perfect 7-0 in the PSAC-West. They return 18 starters from last year and begin their season Thursday, September 05 at Wayne State in Detroit.
The Rock is one of five teams from Super Region One ranked in the top 25 of the first national poll. Notre Dame, Ohio is ranked fourth. West Chester is ranked 22nd. Hillsdale is ranked 22nd. Fairmont State ranked 25th.
