Local politicians and school administrators will be on hand Monday morning for a ceremony to mark the opening of a new classroom at Slippery Rock University.

A ribbon cutting ceremony for a new Pre-K Counts classroom is planned to begin at 10:00 a.m. at the McKay Education Center.

State Senator Elder Vogel and Representative Aaron Bernstine will be joined by Butler County Commissioner Leslie Osche and Sheriff Mike Slupe as well as administrators with SRU and Slippery Rock Area School District.

This classroom is made possible by increased funding from the state and with assistance from early childhood non-profit organization Trying Together.
