An online nursing program at Slippery Rock University was ranked as the best in Pennsylvania.
The website Registerednursing.org ranked the school’s RN to BSN program as No.1 in the state based on data from the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System, the National Center for Education Statistics, U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Postsecondary Education and the Council for Community and Economic Research.
SRU was one of the first nursing programs in the country to offer classes completely online, according to a university news release on Friday.
The college has two programs: a 21-credit program for graduate students to become certified school nurses and a 39-credit program for registered nurses to build on their associate degree or diploma education and earn a bachelor of science in nursing.
