Officials at Slippery Rock University point to hard work from faculty and staff as the reason why enrollment numbers continue to grow.
SRU’s enrollment is up for the 2018 spring semester with a total of nearly 8,400 students. That is an increase of about 50 students over last spring. In-state enrollment increased by over 100 students, while the number of out-of-state students attending SRU decreased by about 40.
Interim SRU University President Philip Way reaffirmed the university’s commitment to high-quality education, as well as shaping the workforce of the future through programming that employers are looking for.
