Police Busy With Weekend Crashes

Police say no one was seriously injured in a crash Saturday morning in Muddy Creek Township.

The two-vehicle crash was reportedly about 09:00 a.m. on Route 19, near Kildoo Road, which is near McConnells Mill State Park.

State police say 19-year-old Gino Ficca of Butler was traveling north on Rt. 19 in a Ford Escort when he turned left onto Kildoo in front of a vehicle traveling south.

There were two people in the other car (a Ford Focus)- 33-year-old Kyle Gercken and his 28-year-old wife Elizabeth, both of Slippery Rock.

Police say both vehicles sustained heavy front-end damage and were not drivable. All three people told police they sustained some minor injuries but none were taken to the hospital.
