Kenneth “KR” Murray, 58, of Stow, Ohio had his sunrise November 17,1959, in Aliquippa, PA, and his sunset March 3, 2018, in Stow Ohio.
Born the fifth child of the late Lester Sr. and Polly Murray, he was a 1977 graduate of Ambridge High School and a graduate of Slippery Rock University. He confessed Christ at an early age and united with Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Aliquippa “Logstown”, where he remained a member until the time of his death.
He was employed at the time of his death by Morrison Health Care, Cleveland Clinic. Prior to his current position, he was employed by Kent State University. In 1990, he was united in holy matrimony with Judith Hackett. To this union was born two children who were the loves of his life.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Judith; two sons, Adam and Michael of Stow, Ohio; three brothers, Lester Jr. and Elliott Murray of Ambridge, PA, Orlando Murray of Philadelphia, Pa.; five sisters, Brenda Harvey of Aliquippa, PA, Deborah Murray of Euless Texas, Beverly Foy and Rosalind (Barry) Jackson of Birmingham, AL, and Regina (Tony) Robinson of Aurora, Ill.; father-in-law, Wilbert Van Sturdivant Sr.; two brothers-in-law, Cecil Simmons and Wilbert Van Sturdivant Jr. of Baltimore, MD; three sisters-in-law, Daphnne Cockrell and Teresa Sanders of Baltimore, MD, and Jocelyn Sturdivant of Silver Spring, MD; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, and special friends, James “Bubba” Huwar, Donnie Shrum, and Robbie and Lisa Washington.
Anyone who knew Kenneth knew that besides his sons the other loves of his life were the Pittsburgh Steelers, Pittsburgh Pirates and anything else affiliated with Pittsburgh. Visitation is Friday, March 9, 2018, from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the CALHOUN FUNERAL HOME, 23000 Rockside Road, Bedford Heights, OH 44146, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Service is Saturday, March 10, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at Faith Fellowship Church, 10277 Valley View Road, Macedonia, OH 44056.
