Academic Services Instructor – Learning Community Clusters & Exploratory and Undecided Advising | Tenure Track

Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania invites applications for a non-teaching faculty instructor position in the Academic Services Department/Academic Advisement Center. The work will be primarily academic advisement for a significant number of Exploratory/Undecided students and the coordination of the learning community cluster program, academic advisement, and the majors & minors expo. The faculty member will also teach a first-year seminar. Most of the responsibilities are primarily outside the classroom.

Minimum qualifications: Master’s degree in education or related field; commitment to the education of diverse populations; two years’ experience in creating and coordinating programming for first-year students; two years professional experience with academic advisement at the college level; successful performance in an on-campus interview, including presentation on a topic related to academic advising.
