Art and Nature: 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Feb. 17 at Jennings Environmental Education Center, 2591 Prospect Road, Slippery Rock. Learn how to count feeding birds and help track bird populations. George Washington Cherry Pie Hike: 9:00 a.m. to noon Feb. 24 at Jennings Environmental Education Center, 2951 Prospect Road, Slippery Rock. The event, co-sponsored by Harmony Museum, honors the nation’s first president and his 1753 mission through western Pennsylvania with hikes and nature walks. A $2 donation is requested. Reservations must be made by Feb. 22 at events.dcnr.pa.gov.

Maple Sugaring for Scouts: Special event for local Scouts from 10:00 a.m. to noon and 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. March 3 at Jennings Environmental Education Center, 2951 Prospect Road, Slippery Rock. Cost is $2 per Scout. Leaders can register at events.dcnr.pa.gov or by calling 724-794-6011.
