“Need is what led me to write this book,” said Dr. Almeida. “I am afraid that we, as a society, have gone out of control in terms of technology use. Most folks don’t realize that technology causes severe side effects on us and our living systems.”

The book is available for purchase both in paper and electronic formats here.

Dr. Luis Almeida joins Lee’s Department of Communication Arts as an associate professor of communication. He comes from Jackson State University where he was an associate professor of emergent strategic communications since 2015. Almeida has also taught at Indiana University of Pennsylvania and Waynesburg College, and was an instructor/teaching assistant at The Pennsylvania State University.
